Nevada Brunch Spot Named No. 1 in America
The reviewing experts at Yelp have complied a list of the 100 best brunch spots in America using real reviewers’ research and reviews. In the article, they remind us that brunch is really the “perfect meal” because it’s “relaxed, affordable, and almost always a special occasion.” They add that, “while brunch classics still rule—eggs Benedict, French toast, and mimosas—chefs across the country are adding new, elevated fusion dishes to their menus, taking brunch from ‘already great’ to ‘over-the-top great.'” Of course, the major questions is, French toast, waffles or pancakes? It’s always pancakes for me, but to each their own.
Before we look at out states, let’s see what brunch spots fell just below us. It’s Immigrant Son Caffè in Ventura, California. Of this spot, the experts at Yelp say, “The menu fuses owner Alessandro Tromba’s heritage with his childhood upbringing.” As for what to eat, they state that “popular dishes include the best-selling Breakfast Lasagna (prosciutto cotto, bacon, spinach, marinara, frittata, and mozzarella, topped with fried egg), Cousin Michael’s Morning Carbonara (rigatoni with hand-diced pancetta and egg-based cream sauce served in a handmade bread bowl), and classic brunch dishes like ‘light, fluffy, and a little crispy’ waffles and ‘amazing’ pancakes.”
So, what Nevada brunch spot was named the No. 1 in America by Yelp? It’s Toasted Gastrobrunch in Las Vegas. Of the delicious spot, Yelp writes, “Why order plain French toast when you can get it Elvis-style—stuffed with bananas, peanut butter, bacon, and honey?” That’s a good point. They add, “The chef-driven menu at this popular brunch-only mecca turns classics on their heads, with creative specialties like Red Velvet Pancakes, Green Monster Bloody Marys, and Eggs in Purgatory (sunny-side-up egg atop a sourdough bread bowl filled with tomato shakshuka sauce, mushrooms, and feta).” It’s great to see this Las Vegas and Nevada brunch spot get national attention. Now, I’m hungry.
