Boston: There Will Be A Barbie Pink Rink At Fenway’s 401 Park
The Barbie party has certainly taken over the nation the past six months, and there’s no reason to stop now. In fact, in Boston, The Rink 401 Park in Fenway will soon be transforming for a week to a pink rink in an effort to bring out their best Barbie vibes.
Specifically, the dates to be aware of are February 9 through Valentine’s Day, February 14.
Here Is What You Need To Know
The Rink at Fenway’s 401 Park will turn into the “Pink Rink” during the aforementioned dates. On opening night, the Pink Rink will open with a thrilling performance. From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. the “Skate Kenway” skating spectacular will take place.
“The show’s cast is inspired by Barbie and Ken’s journey of self-discovery and lessons in acceptance and inclusion, and will feature Milk, star of RuPaul’s Drag Race, as Drag Barbie, alongside an array of colorful characters,” The Fenway explains.
As for the Pink Rink, that opens at 5pm on February 9. Specifically, the evening hours are when this park and rink are really flaunting their best Barbie skills. The reason for this is the entire area including the skating ice, will glow pink. Under the night sky is when these shades will radiate the brightest. This theme coincides with Valentine’s Day week. The allows guests to make a night of it with tons of restaurants and event spaces in this Fenway area. The Wine Press, Tenderloni’s, Sweet Cheeks BBQ, and Rockwood Music Hall are all in close proximity.
The Rink 401 Park itself is 6,000 square feet, where the skating rink takes center stage. It is open seven days per week. Their 2024 winter wonderland theme is already off to a blazing start. For example, on January 14th they held a “Pirates of the Fenway” skating show that paid tribute to Pirates of the Caribbean. Furthermore, it was hosted by Massachusetts ice skating legend, and Olympian, Nancy Kerrigan.
