Massachusetts: Here Is Our Most Popular Jewelry Item
Shane Co. recently detailed the most popular jewelry item in every state. This can range to everything from necklaces to rings to smartwatches. In Massachusetts, the most popular jewelry item comes in a pair.
“Each U.S. state has its own unique style, and jewelry is no exception,” Shane Co. states. In order to compile the report, they first had to answer the question, what are the most common jewelry pieces found across the United States. 14 items were selected and categorized. For example, certain jewelry categories were broken out by type. Think hoop earrings vs. stud earrings. Then, Shane and Co. analyzed 12 months of Google trends and search data to identify what the most popular item is in every single state.
It’s Dangle Earrings In Massachusetts
Four of the 14 entries in this list fall into the earring category. However, the most popular jewelry in Massachusetts is dangle earrings. Along with smartwatches, dangle earrings are the choice in six different states. Our fellow New Englanders in Maine and New Hampshire happen to be two of them. “Whether they’re delicate or statement-making, dangle earrings can add a glamorous touch to any outfit,” Shane Co. explains.
Watches then seem to remain a constant jewelry piece Americans enjoy. Twenty-three states have the standard watch as their favorite thing to wear. That was by far the most. If you add in the six states that chose smart watches, 58% of the nation still loves a classic wristpiece.
Jewelry can be a form of self-expression as well. Some folks certainly wear more than one, if not all, of the 14 most common pieces. This report did not specify engagement and wedding rings, as one would assume that would have taken home the prize. Surprisingly, stacked rings (the only of the ring group) were only the most popular in Missouri.
4 Great Places To Find Sicilian Pizza In Massachusetts
I’m a guy who moved from New Jersey to Boston; growing up, Sicilian pizza was pretty easily available. I incorrectly assumed that all Americans enjoyed this kind of pizza selection. However, when I moved to Boston, I realized that it’s much harder to find that delicacy here. But there are also a few unique places that are cooking up Sicilian pizza in Massachusetts.
As an expert on Sicilian, I will tell you that it has to be prepared properly in order for it to be worth the calories. Here, I will detail three establishments where you can find great Sicilian pizza in Massachusetts. Sure, you may have to travel a bit, but these places are worth your time.
What Is Sicilian Pizza?
Before we cut into this delicious style of pie, let’s define our terms. Traditional Sicilian pizza is cut into square or rectangular-shaped slices. The crust is thicker and crunchy. Though this pizza is obviously heavier, it still can be topped with your favorite pizza add-ons. A sprinkle of oregano is a subtle but often important finishing.
Though strip pizza in Rhode Island is similar, one significant difference with Sicilian is that it is not baked on a focaccia style dough. In fact, Palermo Pizza NJ defines what distinguishes Sicilian Pizza and what makes it different from regular pizza. “The dough rises differently with this kind of crust because more oil is used in the recipe as opposed to a regular pizza crust recipe,” they said, when describing how this is made in a rectangular pan.
In Massachusetts, the three locations that are serving up great Sicilian Pizza are quite different from each other, but have this menu item in common. One of them happens to be a favorite of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
