States With The Most Influencers, Where Does Georgia Rank?
Being an influencer in 2023 can be a full-time career. It seems like a fun lifestyle, and it might be. But building a personal brand or promoting other brands can often be very difficult work. A recent study by Ubiquitous Influence Marketing showed that Georgia is in the top 10, with the ninth most influencers in the country.
To determine this information, Ubiquitous Influence first identified who the top 200 influencers are today. Next, they researched where each of them is from or is currently located. As expected, California has the most influencers by far. 31% of the top personalities were from the Golden State. Much of this is tied to Los Angeles. Obviously, the city has dozens of agencies dedicated to just influencer marketing. The greater Los Angeles area also offers plenty of landscapes to uniquely capture engaging clips for those that prefer to leave the comfort of their home.
Georgia #9
2% of the top influencers in the country (4 out of the top 200) are from Georgia. While Ubiquitous Influence’s story does not isolate specific cities, the heat map shows a large concentration on the eastern part of the state. William Bryant is the top-established influencer in Georgia. He is a lifestyle and men’s fashion model with over 1.3 million followers on tik tok alone. Anther notable account is Verun Marie Moring, who is an entrepreneur who infuses comedic dance routines into her promotions. She has gone viral numerous times.
“The industry continues to grow at startling rates (it was recently valued at around $16.5 billion) and greatly affects the way information, goods, and services are conceived of, marketed, and sold,” WIRED recently explained.
Furthermore, influencers don’t have to be branded as a specific person. Accounts like Explore Georgia, showcase updates around the city to be aware of. The popularity of shorts and reels has skyrocketed. This style of influencing allows for multiple verticals to be addressed in a hyper-focused geographical area. An individual can run the business account from behind the scenes while removing their name from the personality.
Georgia: 10 Companies Hiring Remote Workers Now
There’s a lot of interest from workers to find Georgia companies hiring remote workers. Now, some companies are exclusively going that route. The number of jobs that state in the job description that workers can be remote has almost tripled from pre-pandemic levels. Specifically, the number has gone from about 4% of in 2019 to about 12% of jobs in 2022, according to ZipRecruiter.
“The pandemic-induced 50-year acceleration in the shift to remote work has now firmly taken root as a win-win-win for workers, businesses, and the economy,” ZipRecruiter.com says. “For workers, it offers the chance to access distant opportunities, save time and money, lower the risk of contracting Covid, escape gas price inflation, work from anywhere, and spend more time with family. For businesses, it provides access to a wider and more diverse talent pool, reduces real estate and overhead costs, and increases labor productivity while reducing absenteeism. And on a national scale, it may help us avoid a wage-price spiral.”
When it comes to the type of companies looking to hire remote workers, according to ZipRecruiter.com, it’s high on tech jobs. “The share of job postings offering remote work was slowly growing before the pandemic, thanks to the rise of technologies such as cloud computing and video conferencing, but the trend accelerated at the start of the pandemic, and has continued to build,” they state. They add that even though roughly 12% of job postings now “explicitly state that employees may work remotely, there is considerable variation across industries, with less than 1 in 50 job postings offering remote work in transportation and storage (unsurprisingly), but more than 1 in 4 job postings offering it in the technology sector.”
