3/1 8:33 a.m.
As of this morning, a juvenile has been arrested in connection with threats made yesterday regarding three local middle schools.
At this time, his identity has not been made public.
A listener phoned the station moments ago, after her daughter saw disturbing threats made against three local middle schools in Charlotte.
Community House Middle School has issued a statement regarding the matter via text.
Two other schools, Southwest Middle and Kennedy Middle, were also named in separate posts made on Snapchat.
Community House Middle School has acknowledged that the social media post is real and that CMPD has been notified and is investigating the threat.
We have reviewed a screenshot of the snap but due to the sensitive nature of the posting, we are not able to publish it online.
The threat has since been deemed low risk, but both authorities and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District are monitoring the situation.
If you have any concerns about the safety of your children, please phone your child’s school to discuss the matter further.
