Everyone knows that Rihanna is a trendsetter, but fans are not sure that they can get behind her new “ketchup” collection at Fenty Beauty.
Fenty Beauty, a part of Rihanna’s growing empire, has linked up with art collective MSCHF and is selling a limited edition set of lip gloss packets. However, the twist is when you purchase the $25 set which contains six packets, they either contain actual ketchup or the coveted gloss bomb lip gloss.
Many fans on Instagram did not love the concept and began asking the Bad Gal several questions about her new collection.
“So if u get a lipgloss it’s just an open packet?” one fan asked. They added, “Wouldn’t that dry out [pretty] fast. Also, imagine spending money on ketchup packets.”
Another fan couldn’t believe that Rihanna would come up with this idea, “Is Rihanna still on maternity leave… who signed off?” they asked.
“Are the packets resealable if it is gloss? I have so many questions,” another fan responded.
MSCHF is no stranger to working with the hottest hip-hop stars producing “odd” projects. Back in 2021, the art collective worked with Lil Nas X on his controversial Nike “Satan Shoes” that contained “one drop of human blood.” That project unsurprisingly caused a lawsuit.
