Shortly before Megan Thee Stallion took the stage at Studio 8H to do “double duty” (hosting and performing as the musical guest) on Saturday Night Live, news broke that the rapper’s Los Angeles home was reportedly robbed of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of items.
The incident was first reported by gossip site TMZ, that her home was targeted Thursday evening (Oct. 13). Local law enforcement said two men in hoodies and gloves broke in by smashing the glass door in the back of her home.
The site reported that the men stole “an estimated $300-$400K in jewelry, cash and electronics from inside the home.” Megan was not home at the time as she was preparing for her hosting/performing gig on Saturday Night Live.
In her monologue, Megan teased that she would bring up the robbery but instead she made a joke. “I would like to address a certain incident that I’m sure that is on everybody’s mind,” she began.
“No, I don’t know why Popeyes took the ‘Hottie Sauce’ off the menu,” she said as the crowd laughed.
After the monologue, Megan acted in several skits with the SNL cast. In one skit with Punkie Johnson and Ego Nwodim as fellow nurses, Megan Thee Stallion had a “Hot Girl Hospital” where the patients were women who wanted to become “baddies.”
Later with Punkie and Ego, Megan went on Ego’s talk show and had “girl talk” and helped her with some man problems.
In the “We Got Brought” skit, the rapper acted out the relatable situation where you’re a “plus one” and you have to make awkward conversation with everyone one else who is also a “plus one.”
The Hot Girl coach then created a “workout class” where she taught several SNL cast members how to get a big booty just like hers.
She also performed “Anxiety,” and was visibly teary-eyed from her performance. She later came back to grace the SNL stage with a fiery performance of “NDA” and “Plan B.”
