Although many commercials often reveal themselves prior to Super Sunday, they still serve as a significant part of the Super Bowl experience. This year’s big game is no exception. In fact, many Boston celebrities are going to be featured in commercials that will air during Super Bowl LVIII.

The big game is taking place in arguably the biggest entertainment market in the country. Allegiant Stadium is a state-of-the art facility, and Las Vegas is certainly home to some of the biggest stages. It appears the commercials will follow suit in terms of everything being bigger.

U.S. News and World Report shared a quote received by Todd Cohen, Vice President of National Video/CTV Strategy at Undertone by Perion. “Super Bowl ad costs have nearly doubled over the past decade, from $4M in 2014 for a 30 second ad, to more than $7M in 2024, for a similar audience size of around 113 million viewers,” Cohen said.

CBS Has The 2024 Game

This year CBS is the network host of Sunday’s Super Bowl. As a refresher, it is the first time ever that Las Vegas is the host city. To build anticipation and set the scene, CBS released an overview of the 2024 Super Bowl commercials. They include some of the typical players you normally see partake in the festivities. These include Doritos, T-Mobile, and numerous beer brands.

“As always, the companies will be getting as creative as possible to stand out among the long list of ads that fans will see on Feb. 11,” CBS said.

So, now we know that Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jenna Ortega, and Post Malone will be gracing our television screens in between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers fighting for the Lombardi Trophy. Joining them will be a number of familiar faces for New Englanders. Let’s take a look at some of the Boston stars that will be featured in Super Bowl LVIII commercials.

  • Rob Gronkowski

As you may recall, Gronk did a live spot during the 2023 Super Bowl. As part of FanDuel’s “Kick of Destiny”, Gronk actually missed the live kick. This year has the chance to redeem himself. Alongside FanDuel host Kay Adams, Gronkowski will do the same thing this year. If he makes it, there is payout potential for FanDuel users who participated.

TB12 has certainly not been camera-shy in his first season of retirement. In fact, he’s been a busy man preparing for his start in the booth with Fox next year. We are certainly accustomed to seeing Brady on Super Bowl Sunday. This year, it will be in a commercial with Vince Vaughn and Wayne Gretsky. The spot is for BetMGM.

Newton native, John Krasinski is in a new movie called IF, which he also wrote and produced. The cast also includes Ryan Reynolds, Steve Carell and Emily Blunt, among others. The Office fans will catch on to a prank Randall Park pulls on Reynolds in the spot that references a favorite sketch from The Office. Lastly, what’s a Boston-related commercial these days without Ben Affleck and Dunkin Donuts. His new spot with Jack Harlow is expected to fully show on Sunday as well.
