What Taylor Swift Said To Travis Kelce After The Super Bowl
Taylor Swift rushing back to the United States following her Japan Eras Tour concert to see her boyfriend in the Super Bowl was surely a long journey. But it was well-worth the trip. The 34-year-old was surrounded by her friends Blake Lively, Lana Del Rey and Ice Spice in their suite at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, chugging beers, and in awe of her Kansas City Chiefs star boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Super Bowl LVIII went into overtime in an extremely close game on Sunday night (February 11). The Chiefs came out on top, and when Swift made her way down to the field following their victory, she appeared emotional as she congratulated Kelce.
The “Anti-Hero” singer went down with Kelce’s family, who joined her in congratulating the football star. First to meet with Travis was his mom, Donna Kelce, whom he hugged for a while as Taylor respectfully waited for her turn. The couple then embraced and gave a kiss in front of all the cameras documenting the post-game moment. In videos widely shared on X (formerly Twitter), Swift exclaims, “Oh my God! Oh my God! I cannot believe that. I can’t believe it. How did you do that?” She also appears to say, “I’m so proud of you.” Travis asks her, “Was it electric?” To which Swift replies, “Unbelievable. It was unbelievable. That was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen.”
Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22, securing their third Super Bowl victory in five years. The game ended with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes throwing the ball to Mecole Hardman for a buzzer-beater touchdown. The big win marks a back-to-back title for the Missouri team, which has taken the Vince Lombardi trophy recently in 2020 and 2023. As if Swelce couldn’t get any cuter, they were singing along to Swift’s songs during the Super Bowl after party. The couple danced to an EDM remix of Swift’s “Love Story” and lock lips during the lines: “It’s a love story, baby just say yes.”
