Charlotte Ranks As A Best City To Have A Fireplace
Fireplaces are more common in the suburbs and rural areas than they are in cities. High-rise apartment complexes and tight quarters make having such a luxury quite challenging. However, HVAC Gnome recently detailed the best cities across the country to own a fireplace, and Charlotte made the list.
HVAC Gnome says, “We looked at access to fireplace services, chimney sweepers, firewood suppliers, and cold wave risk, among 11 total metrics,” they explained.
Winter is here and it is now peak season for indoor fireplace use. Whether it’s providing the mood for your holiday party or simply a place to keep your room warm on a cold night, there are few things more relaxing than a fireplace.
Charlotte was the only city in North Carolina that ranked in the top 25 as one of the best metro cities to have a fireplace.
Charlotte Ranked 16th Overall
Equipment Rank was the category that Charlotte scored the best in, finishing as the 6th best city overall here. This looks at the accessibility and quality of overall great fireplace equipment. Services Rank was not too far behind at number 12, given the amount of fireplace providers in the greater Charlotte area. Raleigh is then the next North Carolina city to make the list at 49, followed by Asheville coming in at 63.
Surprisingly, New York City, arguably the most congested major city in the country, ranked number one in this report. Part of this had to do with the demand being the highest among all the cities analyzed. As you would expect Colorado then makes the list with Denver being the second-best fireplace city.
“Fireplaces are not only an aesthetic addition as a charming centerpiece in your home or backyard, but they’re also a great backup option for when the power goes out,” HVAC Gnome continues. So, whether you have an old-fashioned wood burning fireplace or a modern electric setup, it’s about time to light it up.
