Georgia Has One Of The Best Cities For Segway Tours
What’s more fun than taking a guided tour of a city where you learn about its history and uniqueness? Doing it on wheels, of course. Segway tours have become increasingly popular and in Georgia, the city of Savannah has one of the best in the country.
Booking.com recently detailed how popular Segway tours are across the world. “There’s something quite slapstick about sightseeing on Segways, but once you’ve set foot on one and you’ve got a taste for [them], you won’t look back,” they said. In fact, many travel booking sites now offer assistance in finding the right Segway tour for you during your travels.
TripAdvisor also highlighted the top Segway cities in America. Not only was Savannah highlighted here, it made the list twice, on two separate entries. The 60-minute guided tour of Savannah was ranked as the sixth-best city Segway tour. Then, just six spots down the list, Savannah is ranked again. This time, it’s the 90-minute tour that featured as one of the best.
Viator had high praise for the 60-minute Segway tour in Savannah. This is mostly due to how much of the historical elements of the city can be found within the route.
“As the largest National Historic Landmark District in the US, Savannah offers more than 20 city squares filled with historic homes, museums, churches, mansions, monuments and the famous forts of the Revolutionary and Civil War eras,” Viator states.
You can Segway through Georgia via one of these tours, starting at just $49. Viator then explains there are various options available. Some of the attractions you will roll upon include; “the birthplace of the Girls Scouts of America, St. John’s Cathedral, one of the country’s largest and most beautiful Cathedrals, and The Telfair Museum.”
If touring cities via a Segway is cause enough for you to explore other areas, Scottsdale, Arizona, Nashville, Tennessee, and San Francisco, California, are also among the top major cities that offer this fun option.
