Cardi B Weighs In On Atlanta Restaurant Controversy
Cardi B is giving her two cents on the viral Atlanta restaurant controversy. On Monday, Keith Lee, a content creator known for his restaurant reviews, touched down in Atlanta to rate popular eateries. Prior to Lee’s visit, social media was attacking Atlanta, saying that they had a reputation for not tending to their customers in a professional manner.
“I feel like Atlanta restaurants, they don’t like to make money,” the rapper said in an Instagram Live. “They don’t like people, they don’t like customers, they just don’t f—— like it.”
“I feel bad for Atlanta residents,” she continues. “Thank you, Jesus, I’m famous, but even me being famous, it’s like a hassle! Muthaf—– don’t like making money out there!”

Lee’s comments were similar to Cardi’s as he expressed a similar situation when he went to visit. While Lee is known online, his family is not. So, to make a more authentic experience, he sent in his wife, his sister, and his mother-in-law into Kandi Burress’ Atlanta restaurant, Old Lady Gang. When the three women got to the counter, they were quoted with an hour to an hour and a half wait time. The restaurant also said they were not serving takeout because it was the weekend. Nor were they taking any reservations.
After hearing the wait time, Lee gets out of the car and walks into the restaurant. The staff recognized who he was and offered him a table for him and his family to be ready in five minutes. Lee was frustrated that when his family went in, they were quoted with over an hour wait, and then when he came in, it was reduced to under 10 minutes. Lee emphasized that he likes to be treated like everyone else and pays for his own food when he reviews. Due to his experience, he decided not to take the table. He told fans not to bash the restaurant based on his review.

After the backlash, Kandi came on social media to “address” the issue. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star said that she appreciated Lee for stopping by and “trying to show love.” She said it was unfortunate that they didn’t get a chance to serve him and his family. The singer is hopeful that they will one day.
