Naples Car Museum Named One of the Best Auto Attractions
USA Today’s 10Best recently published their report that highlights attractions for car lovers across the country. A Naples car museum was ranked one of the best. Revs Institute is number seven on a distinguished list of unique places for auto enthusiasts across the country.
The establishments recognized in 10 Best’s feature include factory tour centers, behind-the-wheel driving experiences, live auction sites, and car museums.
The museum in Naples is described as a working facility that is the home to the Miles Collier Collections. Collier is former race car driver who is also an artist, author, and innovator in the historical automobile space. Furthermore, as the founder of Revs Institute, Collier has always made sure that each automobile is meticulously preserved or restored.
“Preserving the Future of the Past,” are the first words you see across the top of Revs Institute’s website. The museum is laid out in four different exhibit areas. Each of them is organized around a theme. The Automobility section showcases 20th century cars that profoundly impacted the industries evolution. The Vitesse area scratches your need for speed with a glimpse into how significantly sports motoring and racing automobiles have developed. Next, the Revs gallery pays respect to open-wheel racing cars and the individuals who were responsible in shaping the racing industry. Finally, there’s a section dedicated to one of the most worshiped lines of cars on the road, the Porsche.
10Best points out that a 1939 Mercedes-Benz W154 Grand Prix, 1896 Panhard et Levassor Wagonette and the first Porsche 550-01 are just some of the classic cars you can check out at the museum. Overall, Revs Institute has 112 cars onsite.
