Honolulu passes law that makes texting while crossing the street illegal
Do you think people should get a ticket for distracted walking? Honolulu has passed a law to stop texting and walking across the street. The law states if you’re caught doing this you’ll be fined $35. Pedestrian deaths in traffic accidents has risen significantly in the last 3 years, so some states are working to pass a statewide law to enforce no texting and walking. California already has warning signs in some areas.
