This Company May Have the Best Time Off Deal
You have to admit when agreeing to sign onto a new job, having paid time off is definitely a perk.
Well, what if the company were to pay you to go on vacation? For those individuals working for the tech company Basecamp, this is a reality.
According to Thrillist, the company is “responsible for creating the web framework Ruby on the Rails and the project management software that the company is named for.”
If you manage to land a gig at the company, you would receive some amazing benefits.
Such perks include paid time off, healthcare, 401(k) matching, $100/month for fresh produce, $100/month for home massages, 16 weeks paid parental leave, $5,000/year vacation stipend, 4-day/32-hour weeks during the summer, and a sabbatical every three years while working at the company.
Sounds too good to be true, right?
Jason Fried, who is the CEO of the company told the Business Insider that he enjoys making his employees happy and comfortable. Jason wants to continue to provide more perks to those people working at the company, but he is “running out of ideas for it.”
However, he is open to employee recommendations. Staff members can vote to add in a new, yet reasonable benefit. If he can logistically add the perk to the already stellar line-up, the CEO will. Well Jason, even though we do not work for you, we think you should definitely add in a weekly take your dog or cat to work day.

The CEO continued to tell Business Insider that he believed adding these benefits will help to make his employees want to work harder. If they are happy at their positions, then they will see the “virtues in and of themselves.”
No doubt we’ll be seeing more and more companies look into adding new and interesting items to their benefit options.
